4. Set Up the Ad Placements in the Various Networks
It is important to know that AdMob is tied to individual accounts at the other networks. Here are the accounts used.
| Ad Network | Login Name |
|---|---|
| AdMob | blockyverse@gmail.com in VM 1 |
| AdColony | adnetworks@blockyverse.com |
| AppLovin | adnetworks@blockyverse.com (easiest in VM 1) |
| ChartBoost | gamecompanyb@gmail.com (Chartboost integration isn’t working) |
| InMobi | adnetworks@blockyverse.com |
| Vungle | adnetworks@blockyverse.com |
| Unity Ads | adnetworks@blockyverse.com |
We only access AdMob from VM1. To reduce the amount of time you need to spend in VM1, though, we’ll setup all the placements in the other ad networks first, and then record the data into AdMob.
Here’s a cheat sheet you can copy and fill in the blanks with:
Placement IDs for ________________ AdMob (blockyverse@gmail.com in VM 1) am1 - App ID: am2 - Ad Unit ID [Interstitial]: am3 - Ad Unit ID [Rewarded]: AdColony (adnetworks@blockyverse.com) ac1 - App ID: ac2 - Zone ID [Interstitial]: ac3 - Zone ID [Rewareded]: Applovin (adnetworks@blockyverse.com in VM 1) al1 - SDK key: 6ZosNdsTM8wsHEQky4FzELqyLGpXHcROAEFTs55CD_2UESDAXS8mpzh8DVgV67vHL8rBDwNRwQx8t8JPbR9OPs al2 - Application ID: al3 - Zone ID [Interstitial] (optional): al3 - Zone ID [Rewarded] (optional): InMobi (adnetworks@blockyverse.com ) im1 - Account ID: bd24298095ef4ea682daa38e60a661cc im2 - Placement ID [Interstital]: im3 - Placement ID [Rewarded]: Facebook Audience Network fb1 - Access Token: fb2 - Interstitial placement ID: fb3 - Rewarded Video placement ID: Unity Ads (adnetworks@blockyverse.com ) ua1 - Game ID: ua2 - Placement ID [Interstital]: ua3 - Placement ID [Rewarded]: Vungle (adnetworks@blockyverse.com ) vn1 - Vungle Application ID: vn2 - Placement Reference ID [Interstital]: vn3 - Placement Reference ID [Rewarded]:
Note that if you are setting up interstitial and rewarded ads, you may need to record extra items.
In the examples that follow, I’m going to set up new placements to be used via AdMob for the game Cube Steel: Max Survival (a CCode/FPS game), setting up both rewarded ad and interstitial ad placements.
